Graft Length in the Tunnel in Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

Abstract

In anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, the graft length in the tunnel is critical to initial graft fixation and final tendon-bone healing. Studies indicate that a 20-mm intraosseous graft length in the tunnel may be adequate for a firm interference screw fixation, and the minimal graft length in the tunnel to ensure tendon-bone healing is 15 mm.
