Objective
The general practitioner (GP) has a major role in the direction of chronic low back pain (LBCP). The purpose of the study is to determine the criteria that lead the Nord Pas de Calais GP guide the CLBP patient to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Lille University Hospital.
Materials/Patients and methods
This is a descriptive study by questionnaire sent to 300 North G. Calais drawn. The criteria were analyzed uni- and bi-varied and CART ® algorithm was developed from R ® software.
Results
One hundred and eighteen questionnaires were exploited. Being active for less than 17 years ( P = 0.0321), work in urban or semi-rural areas ( P = 0.0507), having its office at a distance < 33 km ( P = 0.00105) and have easy telephone access to the service P = 1.13 × 10–07) maximize the likelihood of addressing AML patients in consultation. “No addressor” rather have a long duration of activity, rural practice, a complementary type training or sports medicine and acupuncture are not aware of a telephone service access.
Discussion/Conclusion
PMR Service must seek its correspondents among physicians from 35 to 55 years working in the near perimeter and provide telephone access.
